First time to fly Qatar Airways

April 23, 2015
It was our first time to fly Qatar Airways and I didn’t know what to expect. Some said it was okay, some said it was not. So I didn’t know. I didn’t choose this, the travel agent did. Kasi daw it offered the most convenient flight to our destination. I didn’t check online if it was really so. I just relied on the information provided by the travel coordinator.

I wanted to go inside the tiny cockpit to interview the two pilots. I wanted to make sure they’re happy with their lives and they’re not depressed. Mahirap na.

Food service is upon demand. The flight attendants do not serve the passengers food all at the same time. Only when requested. When I said I wanted food, the stewardess brought me fruits. She thought I said fruits.

I requested for more food. She graciously made me choose from the a la carte menu

I have never seen a food tray this big. It’s good for two people.

See how large it is. There’s more space for one more plate.

It’s a nine hour and fifteen minutes flight to Doha. I wish all flights were like this, smooth, no turbulence.

I got hungry again after several hours. I had hot soup.

My daughter liked the warm service provided by Qatar Airways’ flight attendants. They were attentive and efficient. Qatar now ranks #1 in Oyen’s preferred airline, second is Emirates. I forgot which is her third.
