Flashlight me I will flashlight you - Oh My Buhay

Flashlight me I will flashlight you

My first caretaker, A, promised to come back on January 4, 2016 right after the holidays. He didn’t. When I phoned him last month, he told me he’s repairing their house which was destroyed by the typhoon. Also, his OFW wife extended her holiday till the end of February. He told me he would like to come back if I would let him. Of course, I do want him to come back. I need him at the farm most especially now. Mabait naman sya at parang mapagkakatiwalaan although napansin ko na medyo bright sya.

The one who replaced him told me yesterday that A is no longer coming back.
Me—–“Hindi, sabi nya katapusan daw sya babalik”.
Edw—-“Naku mam, hindi na babalik yun, maraming naghahanap sa kanya dito”.

I paid A a weekly wage plus a sack of rice every end of the month for his consumption in the following month.

The three people looking for him were trying to collect their pautang. Allegedly, mahaba pala ang listahan ng utang ni A sa kanila. Sa tindahan #1 he owed them P887. Sa tindahan #2 P750+ and sa tindahan #3 P554.
A always promised to pay them “pagdating ng boss ko”. Ibig sabihin, every time I gave him his salary, he didn’t pay the sari-sari stores and carinderia.

He was also complaining that the rice was not enough for his consumption.
Yun pala, he gave away the bigas that’s supposed to be for him. To whom?

To the neighbor’s wife.

Baka kaya rin lagi syang walang pera. One month advance lagi ang sweldo nya. I also gave him a lot of nice clothes and handbags for his family. Bilin ko ipadala sa pamilya nya.

I gave him a chargeable flashlight. Since we didn’t have electricity yet that time, I told him “maki charge ka muna sa kalapit bahay”.

Duon sya nakiki charge sa kubo some 300 meters away. The husband works in another town and comes home every Sunday only. The wife, who is 37 years his junior is the one living in the kubo. Dyaan nakiki-charge si caretaker A.

When he hurriedly left before Christmas, he confessed to caretaker E that he got the neighbor’s wife preggers.
Caretaker E—-“Bakit mo ginawa yun, dapat iniwasan mo sya”.
Caretaker A—-“Lalaki lang ako ‘pre”.

Caretaker E already suspected that there was something between the two (C-A and the woman), He caught her several times inside C-A’s barracks at 4 am bringing with her the flashlight. Madalas daw she would alibi “Dinala ko itong flashlight”.

Me—–“Alam rin ba nung ibang trabahador kung anong nangyayari?”
Caretaker E—-“Oho mam, alam nila Abet. Lagi dyan yung babae, dala-dala yung flashlight”.

Hayun, iba ang na-flashlight. Alam ko na what happened during those cold windy nights. Nagka-flashlightan sila. I will flash light you, flashlight me. Let’s flashlight together.

She came to the farm last monday morning asking when caretaker A would comeback. She was told by caretaker E no longer to think of that possibility. She’s now 4 – 5 months preggers.

  1. Routine na ni neighbor’s wife na ibalik ang “charged” flashlight. Pag nadala na nya kay caretaker A.. its his turn naman to “discharge”

Tama ka Ms. Annie.. Nagkaflashlightan nga sila. Hehe..
