I took Uber to the airport. No traffic because it was midday. I left at 12 noon and was at the airport by 1 pm.
I didn’t have to shell out five dollars for a pushcart. Since Uber dropped me off on the other side of the road, there were passengers who left their carts there.
The 4 pm flight took off at almost 5 pm. The 14 hours and 15 minutes travel was too long. The key was to sleep or watch as many movies as possible so as not to get inip. I took almost one whole Bonamine tablet to relax and prevent dizziness.
I dozed off but not a straight sleep. There were many turbulent areas that made me anxious. I prayed and called on the friendly skies.
PAL’s 5 star hospitality
Empty seats
Good I had no immediate neighbor that could possibly be a virus or bacteria carrier.
I requested for a bowl of arroz caldo halfway through the flight.
Midnight snack, second serving
Breakfast
The flight attendant , Ms. Yuchongco (not sure about the spelling), was extra nice to me.
Her next flight would be back in Los Angeles. She has four days’ rest, time to do errands for her mom and to attend her uncle’s 90th birthday celebration.
Safe landing at 11 pm.
I didn’t want to be too close to the other passengers.
I was becoming paranoid.
My luggage was one of the firsts to appear. It’s too small pala when compared with the other people’s luggage.
It contained 18 pieces of face masks, golf balls, Mr. & Mrs. Rabbit, wet ones, etc.
I was glad the airport lobby was devoid of humans.
Welcome to my native land.
Welcome to my home.
