Our flight was scheduled at 6:20 pm but we took off from Narita International Airport at 9 pm. We sat in the plane for three hours! We were the 24th plane waiting for go signal from the control tower but because of bad weather, the planes couldn’t take off as scheduled. I waited patiently in my seat. I’d rather sit there even until New Year rather than flying in turbulent weather. I told Edmund they should just let the passengers get off and spend the night in Tokyo. Edmund said “New Year na, gusto mo dito mag-New Year?”. I answered “okay lang sa akin”.
I was a little anxious when we finally took-off. I was hungry and nervous. No one likes choppy flights. There were a few shakes, but not scary. But I must admit that I did call on all the angels and saints. I am really nerbyosa.
We landed at the Naia terminal 1 at 12:30 am and got on our car at 1:30 am. I have just finished cleaning my bathroom and Edmund is still downstairs cleaning the kitchen. We’re so OC. Our dogs made a mess while we’re away so we’re doing some thorough floor disinfection.
Good night, good morning, I will try to get some sleep, and will start uploading tons of photos soon. My first Tokyo post would be dated Dec 26.
Hi Annie,
We had our flight from Taipei to SFO on Nov. 10, 2012. Sobrang magalaw ang plane – lumipad nga yun ibang food trays ng passengers and napapa-angat behind namin sa seat! Grabe talaga. I was praying so hard while holding on to my husband’s arm. Naisip ko at least together kami ….;-) Imagine, 5 hrs ( in our 11 hr. US flight) yun na sobrang magalaw.
Thank God, we landed safe and sound sa SFO. 😉
