Me——— “Wala tayong dalang bulaklak”.
Me———” Tuwi na lang nalilimutan ko”.
Me———“‘Tart, kuha tayo dun”.
Edmund pulled the weeds. Ang bait na manugang.
My parents’ cemetery neighbor two rows down. He had several visitors the day before, apparently it was his birthday. Happy Birthday Dmitry.
We noticed this Filipino guy fixing their old Ford Expedition. His name is Victor. He said his wife visited their son yesterday and when she was leaving, the Expedition didn’t want to start.
I asked Victor what happened to their son. Why did he die?
He, together with his daughter, his son, dropped off his wife at her work around 9 am. he was driving their new Dodge Caravan. There’s a big American car na de-otso, driven by an intoxicated Mexican woman, who beat the red light and hit the side of his van. They rolled-over several times.
Victor and his daughter remained buckled-up on their seats. His 6 month only baby was thrown-off his car seat and rolled several times inside their vehicle. His head cracked. Victor said his wife almost lost her mind because of what happened. Somebody suggested to bring her home to the Philippines so she could be relaxed. They went home but after two months, they came back to America upon the request of his wife. When they came back, she was able to recover, gone back to her work. They visit the cemetery almost everyday and sometimes, his wife brings toys for their baby.
They no longer follow-up on the case and don’t know whether the Mexican woman had already been released from jail. His wife is no longer interested to know. She said she just wants to focus on their son.
