Our flight back to Manila was at 2 ppm and our hope was it would leave and arrive on time.
Traveling domestically is supposed to be relaxed lang but the delays make it cumbersome.
While walking to the Mabuhay lounge, Mr. Yee told me to lower my expectation.
Okay naman except that the area is small.
Medyo siksik ang upuan kasi mga walang space.
The flight was delayed by an hour as a result of NAIA’s congestion which has a ripple effect. Finally we’re off the ground and wishing to come back in a few months when we find the time. Maybe in October when my sister comes home.
Trivia: Bacolod was the first place I traveled to by air. My brother had a meeting with Mr. Tinsay, married to a Valderrama. We only stayed for a night I think. That was long time ago, I was still in collage. Nagka-jet lag pa nga ako. Nahilo ako sa flight. Probinsyana.
And this was my second trip, after at least 35 years.
I had buffet breakfast at the hotel. My bulates are having a hard time working double time to digest food after food after food.
When I was still small, I dreamed of reaching the clouds. I would look up to the sky and wonder what was beneath those cotton-like clouds. Yes, science has some high falutin explanation of what clouds are, how they are formed, etc. Who would forget our science tests? Cumulus, Nimbus, Stratospheric, but that’s not what touches me. Looking at this clouds give me a feeling of profoundness. There must be something simpler than what scientists tell us. I feel like there’s more to this beautiful creation than water vapor. I guess I’ll never find the answer.
The horizon was clear. I could see miles and miles of heavily developed land.
Manila is over populated. We are not only a bustling city, we are bursting.
The land development is unabated. Land prices are mind-boggling even in the not so nice areas. If you own a piece of land inside the metropolis no matter how tiny it is, hold on to it. Land is getting scarcer and or unafforddable to most people.
Landed safely and no air traffic in NAIA 2. Diretso land agad. We should stop naming edifices, roads, parks, etc. after individuals. Let’s revert back to calling our main airport as Manila International Airport so that there’s name recall and it’s also a way of promoting our country and city. We can continue honoring Ninoy in some other ways. Pagyung susunod na presidente inis kay Ninoy, papalitan na naman itong pangalan, papalit-palit. Dapat ilagay sa batas bawal ng palitan, basta MIA na lang, para neutral.
