I couldn’t decide where to bring my family and relatives for dinner on my birthday. Edmund suggested to bring them to a buffet so I didn’t have to worry about them not liking the food because there would be lots to choose from. Some considerations were a semi or private room, casual dining, kids must be allowed. And of course the budget. I didn’t want to pay a hundred dollars per person. I pegged my budget at $50 / person. In America, even if it’s $55/px add the taxes and service charge plus extra tip plus drinks, it could soar. They also told me that since May 27 falls on a holiday, I have to add $10 to the cost/person so instead of $55, it would be $65/ px plus $500 seating fee plus taxes and tips.
I contacted The Buffet restaurant on the ground floor of Wynn Casino & Hotel. I found it online when I searched for best buffet in Las Vegas. Eh halos lahat naman best buffet depending on who was giving the review. The Buffet was voted as “Best Buffet” in Las Vegas according to the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association. Second best next to Caesar’s Palace according to some reviews. Reviews could be subjective.
The Buffet has a private room that can accommodate 42 people which is just right for my expected number of guests. We went to do ocular and Edmund suggested that since we’re already there we might as well eat. Eat buffet!
Wynn is a five star hotel and my expectations are high. One of the things we are paying for is the ambiance.
The restaurant manager on duty was expecting me because I called earlier. She gave us a table near the dessert area.
The buffet is long but the choices are not impressive in my opinion.
Daming male Filipinos manning the buffet. Are they called chefs too?
We were actually busog pa konti from our late lunch that’s why we didn’t eat much.
Edmund and I walked back and forth the long tables trying to stir up our appetites.
Eto Peking Duck crepes pero ang tipid naman magbigay nung Chinese cook. I only ate the meat.
Actually we were both tired and just wanted to sleep. May jetlag pa yata kami. Patung-patong na jetlag. I just forced myself to eat.
They have many dessert choices, the usual hotel pastries, chocolates and cakes.
I have finished eating and still I wasn’t sure if this place passed my criteria.
I personally liked the maaliwalas na ambiance nila.
The flowers soar up to the high ceiling.
The giant floral arrangements that tower above the dining tables provide an impressive backdrop for casual dining.
I forgot if the flowers were real.
I liked the decor but I wasn’t sure about the food choices.
After we finished our dessert, the manager led me to the private dining room.
The hanging curtains turned a potential WOW into a WHOA.
This room would look better without the flowery curtains.
The room has a curtain that serves as the door for privacy.
I left feeling unsure if I wanted to have my birthday dinner here. I felt there was no instant love.
Caesar’s Palace’s Bacchanal Buffet has a lot more choices, so much better than Wynn. I think Wynn is overrated
Hi Charisse,
Bacchanal Buffet was ranked number one as of 2016. After Wynn, I decided to scrap having buffet that’s why we didn’t go to Bacchanal anymore. Regards.
