On Edmund’s last night in Oahu, he said he wanted to eat local food. We wanted to try the chicken huli huli but the popular place is only open on weekends. Oyen found a cluster of food trucks online that’s within walking distance from our hotel.
There were about 4 or 5 food trucks parked in U-shape with tables in the middle.
There were many tourists, mostly Asians, who were there.
One needs to be down to earth to enjoy eating here.
The food was not cheap. In retrospect, we should have gone to a hotel with Hawaiian barbeque.
Their version of garlic shrimps is different from the North Shore food trucks. We liked the one in the countryside, cheaper and more delicious.
Nyke and Edmund had rib eye steak a la tapsilog. It was not bad but they didn’t like it. It had full of sauce.
