Ford Ranger client

I chanced upon a black manual Wildtrak Ford Ranger being readied for release. The new owners were standing beside the pick-up and pointing at tiny water marks. When I heard him, I called the cleaner to give the ranger some extra attention. Eto, linisin mo, eto pa punasan mo.
To do a detailed cleaning would take more than a day and a cost of around P5,000. Yan, ganyan talaga yan kamahal kasi kinu-Q tips pa yung suluk-sulok. For regular cleaning, the vehicle is washed and wiped.

I forgot the name of the dad, who’s also a dentist, but his son is Kim. Also a dentist and a professor at UE. They’re from Tagaytay.

Ang tingin ko mabait itong mag-ama.

Nagkwentuhan kami ng konti.

He asked me if I am Chinese. I said half but we don’t speak Chinese.

He told me his son’s former girlfriend’s pure Chinese. Note the word pure. Alam ko na agad ang ending ng kwento nya. When the parents of the girl found out that his son’s Pilipino, hayun pinag-break. Malas daw kasi pag Pilipino ang boyfriend. Sa takot nila baka daw meron pang mangyari eh anak pa nya ang masisi, hayun, break na sila. He said “bakit naman ganun?” Unfair nga naman.

This Pilipino-Chinese thing needs another post at mahabang istoryahan yan.

  1. hahaha! tell me about it, pure Fil-Chi here but now that I am married and with kids, I think I understand more of where my parents are coming from…I think it’s more to do with their thinking that it’s so hard to make a marriage work between 2 people from the same culture and background, what more from a different one? And it’s really true isn’t it? And, in fairness, it’s not just Filipinos but any one not of the same culture/background, even Chinese mainlanders or FilChi nga but migrated and was raised abroad…
