I’ve been to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace a few times in the past but it was only when I went looking for the Apple store last Tuesday that I appreciated the place. Before kasi there were thousands of tourists swarming around the mall and window shopping was not enjoyable because it was too chaotic and noisy. This time, there were lesser people in Vegas becasue the holidays were over and CES, the big electronics convention and exhibition just ended.
My iPhone 6 couldn’t accept calls, the callers couldn’t hear me but I could hear them. Sometimes I could only hear buzzing sound. My husband insisted that we should buy a new iPhone. Ayaw ko. to begin with, even the new iPhone7 plus he bought for me is not what they say it is. The quality of photos from my iPhone 6 to iPhone 7 looks the same. Both fail miserably when it comes to speed. Many times the camera icon would not click, resulting to a lost moment. Nakatakbo na yung kukunan ko ng picture, ayaw pa ring mag-click. I still have to reset it.
I wanted to go to Best Buy instead to have my phone repaired but when my husband heard of my plan, he was flabbergasted. Bumili na lang daw kami ng bago. O sige na nga. He was leaving and I would still be in the US for the next two weeks so he was worried I would not have a functioning phone.
I took a cab to Caesars Palace because my old iPhone 4 was no longer compatible with the Uber app.
My, the place is big and beautiful. This upscale shopping mall covers more than 5 hectares of shopping and dining and is attached to the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino.
There was no real person receptionist so I looked for their digital shopper’s guide
The screen is so large.
The Apple Store is no way near where the map guide is. Layo pa rin. But okay lang kasi naka window shopping ako.
I like the merchandise at the Camelot but I only looked from the display window.
Antique or antique-style Louis IV clock with ormolu brass / gold plated. This kind of palatial decor could cost from a low of $6,000 to as high as $50,000 depending on the period and quality.
I stopped and asked for direction from a lady at a kiosk giving out anti-wrinkle samples. She could speak Tagalog. She tried to impress me by speaking in Tagalog so she could convince me to buy whatever it was she’s selling.
More shops. I got excited when I saw the name Antiquities, eh they don’t sell plates.
Fine Art Gallery with a-la National Geographic photos and art.
My foot was already at the door when I remembered I have to go to Apple store first.
I stopped again to ask for direction. Direcho lang daw.
Oh perfect, I ran out of perfume. I only brought a small bottle for our Disneyland and Las Vegas trips. Naubos na. I didn’t expect to stay for an extra week. I needed a refill.
A pretty Chinese-looking sales lady approached me to help. I knew what I wanted but she was trying to direct me to other merchandise to up-sell.
I told her I already have a hair perfume. Ewan na nga kung saan napunta yun. It used to be on my bathroom counter in Manila parang hindi ko na nakikita ngayon.
When I told her I would just want to get the refills for my perfume, she said “right, I have it”. I followed her supposedly to the payment counter but instead of processing my payment, she grabbed another bottle, this time ewan naman kung para saan yun, teka…….. oh, face spray mist. Nag-a-upsell na naman. Meron na ako nun, ang tipid namang gamitin because I rarely used it, only during summer.
Nainis na ako, so I told her, “May I just pay for the refills? I don’t want any other stuff. Just this”.
Ay salamat she finally let me go. I have the refill. Mabango na uli ako.
I stopped again to ask for direction. I went up and down the escalator. Apple store daw is near the Atlantis Show.
More shops. you ladies should also look at other bag brands to expand naman the sales and opportunities of other brands. Huwag na lang laging Louis Vuitton and kuchi palada.
What a nice place to go walking indeed.
Red Valentino has pretty dresses.
I only have one Red I bought 5 years ago maybe. I had it altered twice already kasi pasikip ng pasikip dahil pataba ako ng pataba. Hindi na sya magandang tingnan sa tagiliran kasi puro tagpi na. If I have it expanded again, mukhang mosaic na ang labas.
There’s a Tiffany pala inside the Forum Shops. I didn’t go in. Would you believe this year in December we will have our 35th wedding anniversary na pala? Dyos ko susmaryosep. Ang tagal na, ang tanda na namin. I doubt very much if my husband will propose to me again. If he does which is almost impossible, Tiffany could be a good place to start. Ano kaya? The chances are the same as playing in the $10,000,000 mega bucks slot machine. Zerooooo!!!
ASan na ba si Apple, ang layo na ng lakad ko, this is Fountain of the Gods.
The number one selling leather goods store in the world, Louis Vuitton.
Next store after LV is the Salvatore Ferragamo. Ganda step-in on display.
I was really attracted to this step-ins. They have a half-inch heels and the color is subdued although it’s metallic gold. Hmm, like. It’s $750 including tax. Naku bibili pala ako ng bagong phone kaya ako nadito not step-in. Bye.
Ms Annie thank you for sharing photos of your window shopping.
