I accompanied my children to the French Embassy at the Pacific Star Building in Buendia Avenue for the renewal of their Schengen Visas.
Their appointment was at 9:30 am. We didn’t want to take any chances of being late kaya we left our house at 7 am.
Even at 7 am, traffic na agad in EDSA.
It drives me crazy why all applicants have to pass thru the building garage.
We arrived at 8 am, still way ahead of the other visa applicants. Oh I was so glad they (the French Embassy officials) found it in their hearts to provide a few chairs for visa applicants. After decades of sitting on the floor, at least, now, there’s a decent place to park our butts. Merci beaucoup.
More visa applicants came at around 10 pm.
My visa is still valid kasi last year when Edmund and I renewed our Schengen visas, I informed the embassy beforehand that I would again be traveling to Paris this year for a conference that’s why they extended the validity of my visa.
I brought my passport to my children’s interview hoping that I would be allowed to enter the embassy. I didn’t try na, I just patiently waited here for more than an hour. Stage mother.
We all haven’t had breakfast so after the interview, we ate in the building’s fast food area beside Starbucks. We were too lazy and in a hurry to go to another place to eat. Dito na lang para mabilis.
Nyke’s pork sisig. Sikip na shirts nya. He’s been playing basketball every night lately to lose weight.
The guy said it would take 20 minutes because he’s still filling up a big order.
I told him, “iisa lang naman ako, bakit hindi mo na lang ako bigyan, magluto ka na lang uli”.
My first time to try Reyes Barbecue
Back to visas:
Oyen was given one year multiple entry. Nyke was given two months validity only, kasi daw he just graduated from college.
