Front Act Hardcore Rock Philia

The front act group, Philia, had started performing when we arrived at the Music Museum. It was rock and roll.

All seats were occupied. Dapat lang ano, Music Museum is a small venue, if the artists’ come on power is not enough to fill the venue up, that would be depressing for the producers and the artists. Maluluha sila.

It was hardcore rock. We’re not into that. My son and I were glad we were late. However, I regretted that we were not late enough. (Rudeness not intended). Kaya pala I’ve seen some people leaving.

I wore my sunglasses because I couldn’t open my eyes from the strobe lights. For a few minutes, I covered my eyes with my two hands. The sunglasses were not dark enough to protect me from the stage lights. I was afraid it could trigger a major migraine episode.

Am not into heavy metal. All I could hear were the electric guitar’s wiiiiiinnngg weeeyyynnnng. And the drums brog gadundug, brrooogg, and the lead singer’s screams. I couldn’t understand the lyrics. It sounded like screams kwaaaaaahhhh.

The lead vocalist is tall, slim and gorgeous. With long brown hair curled at the tips, she looked like a good version of a Barbie doll.
She said her name is Ramona. She and her husband were in Singapore when she met the promoter or producer of this particular concert and she and her “boys” as she termed it, got in. She said there were not many opportunities like this, that they get to be a front act. Lalo na kay Arnel Pineda pa.

Several times, the lead singer bent forward and down, naka-tuwad sya, tapos yung hair nya naka samburay, tapos aalug-alugin nya ang ulo nya. Nung araw sa Binangonan, I used to do that pag mag-sa-shampoo na. My mom would make me lean forward kasi yung gugo ibubuhos sa buhok.

In many instances, she rocked her head vigorously forward and back and side to side. Kikirung-kirong na mabilis. Ganyan talaga sa rock. Kaya siguro ang tawag rock. Aalug-alugin mo ang ulo mo para rocker talaga ang dating.

Watching her do that made me dizzy already. Parang yung ulo ko ang nauuga. If I shake my head like that, I would collapse in seconds. Blog.
