Full of thanks - Oh My Buhay

My daughter had 9 tiny cysts in her body. It started with 3, then every time she would undergo a sonogram, the number increased. Although they were benign, the doctor said those things needed attention and monitoring. I was dead worried. I spent sleepless nights and crying episodes.

When Edmund and I visited the Our Lady of Notre Dame in Marseille, all I wished for was my daughter’s good health. That those tiny cysts disappear from her body forever.

There’s a smaller church near the port. I also lighted candles- same wish.

That’s also what I wished for when I visited the cathedral in Edinburgh and in St. Andrews. I knelt down, closed my eyes and really bugged and begged God to clear Oyen’s body of those cysts.

Last week, Oyen had another round of sonogram in St. Luke’s. Aside from the 2D, they also used a 3D scanner on her.

We got the results and both had negative findings. Not one tiny cyst was seen. The 9 were gone.

I am full of thanks to the Lord and to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to all the angels and saints including Santa Ursula, the patron saint of Binangonan.

I pray for my children’s good health and safety. Thank you so much.

  1. Prayers answered…perseverance paid. That’s what the Lord wants us to do, to persevere especially in our prayers. Kulitin natin siya! You were blessed because of something you might have done. Reminds me of a line of a song from the movie “The Sound of Music” …So somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good. I’m happy for Oyen, for your family as a whole. Have a Great New Year! God Bless!!!
