Getting the mammo results was petrifying - Oh My Buhay

Getting the mammo results was petrifying

I went back to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig this afternoon at 4 to get the mammography and ultrasound results. Going for the actual scan and mammo was difficult. The walk to the Breast Center was so heavy.

Yes there was pain and discomfort yesterday during the actual scans but what made it doubly daunting was the thought that the technician would spot something suspicious in my breasts. (We mention this word clinically. Let’s change nga the word, let’s call it na lang the milkyboobsie so hindi halata na we’re talking about the female breasts. Oops, the female bundok ng Makiling.

Going back to the hospital to get the results was more petrifying. Facing the uncertainty made me lose my appetite. I didn’t have breakfast and lunch today. I just had a glass of water before I left the house. It was only after I’ve seen the results that I decided to eat something. Not as a celebration but it was almost 5 pm and traffic was building up. It would take another hour and a half to reach my house, so I ate vongole pasta in Cafe Mary Grace at the food section of the hospital.

My left milkyboobsie still hurts from the ipit yesterday. Sana wag mamaga, baka from size 34 eh biglang lumobo maging pang Victoria Secret.
