Daughter and son had gimmicks last Saturday that’s why we couldn’t go to church.
Edmund played golf in the morning. He sent me a message early afternoon “let’s just watch a movie”.
By 2 pm, I was so drowsy. parang nagkakanduduling ako sa antok.
I went to bed to rest but I fell asleep.
I woke up at 4 pm and Edmund was sleeping too. I dozed-off again and woke up at 5 pm.
I got ready.
By 6 pm, Edmund was still snoring. 7 pm, he was sleeping like a baby.
8 pm, I stood beside him, and woke him up. Ang hirap gisingin.
I told him I would just order pizza. he said we would go out na lang to eat.
I remembered the pizza place my kids were raving about.
The place is cute, pang estudyante. They only have about 5 tables.
We had prosciutto with kesong puti and arugula. The kesong puti didn’t add to its flavor. Next time I would order extra tomato sauce.
They have many kinds of pasta. I asked the waiter what their best seller is.
Eto daw, Salted Egg with bacon.
It was very creamy and filling. I thought I could only finish half , pero inubos ko rin kasi sayang.
This is Gino’s version of Bolognese. Fatter fettucine and not too red tomato sauce. Edmund said “ang hirap ubusin, ang bigat sa tyan”.
Gino’s is right in front of Mirriam College’s gate, on the second floor of Mercury Drug along Katipunan, near Ateneo. Their clienteles are students.
My kids, most especially Oyen, had been wanting to bring Edmund and I to this place.
They were waiting in bated breath for the verdict.
“Mom, did you and dad like it?”
“I don’t mind going back”.
