I thought I wouldn’t have the energy to do what we do every Good Friday.
I felt like a floating toad, sitting on a leaf not knowing where the current would take me. But it’s Good Friday, this is supposed to be the day I am most excited about, every year. Sabi nga ni nasirang Dolphy, the show must go on.
It was a hot day, aggravated by tricycle noise and smoke and dust. By 3 pm, Edmund and the guys started setting up the lights, water, ice, etc. in time for the 6 pm Good Friday procession.
For better efficiency, we used two large water containers to mix sacks of tube ice and purified drinking water.
We used individual plastic cups instead of bottled water.
Dea helped me separate the towels one by one because the ink made them stick together.
My sister in law is in Tokyo with his youngest son so she asked her elder sister to cook food for us. Her Ate Ofie sent us sopas, inihaw na dalag, inihaw na bangus. Butz Arimado brought a small container of ginataang mais.
