We feel so frustrated. The two maids (2 day old chicks) left yesterday. They had a tiff with the cook. So many alibis. One maid said she didn’t want to work as maid except that she accompanied the other one. The cook complained that they talked back, etc.
I feel guilty. I think I was a factor to their decision to leave. Yesterday afternoon I requested the two of them to clean my bathroom. It was not a general cleaning. We lock our bathroom when we leave the house because we’ve lost stuff before. We now contend with once a week or every two weeks cleaning.
Most of the time I am away, so sometimes, my bathroom is locked for a month. Nitong nakaraan, 3 months.
I said “paki-linis yung lababo, bathtub, toilet bowl at paki walis yung sahig”. My bathroom is 4.5M x 5.5M more or less. It took them about half hour to clean it. Do you think they got tired? Napagod kaya sila?
Then after an hour, I asked one of them to bring the rubber slippers to the laundry area because they were very dirty. “Paki linis”.
When they arrived two days ago, my husband gave them P500 each for their personal supplies like shampoo and soap.
Maid 1 –“Mam, yung mga shampoo, sa lagay iiwan namin?”
A——–“Anong shampoo?”
Maid 1—“Yung binili namin , hindi pa ubos”.
A——–“Inyo na lang”.
This morning, the cook had an argument with the security guard on duty. When I asked the guard what happened? He said when the dog groomers arrived, he told the cook to inform us if he would let them in or let them wait outside. The maid said we are still asleep. Then she said “Ano’ng gusto mo gisingin ko?” Eto namang guard pinatulan “Wag mo nga akong sagutin ng ganyan”. Hayun, away patani na.
I came home at 5 pm. Edmund arrived at 5:30 pm. As soon as he arrived, here comes the cook with all her belongings, ready to leave.
We actually like her. She’s nice, may kusa, masipag. I was hoping she would stay. Sayang. I gave her three slices of pepperoni pizza yesterday for merienda. PR.
Hay, the guards have no dinner. I am feeling sick and I do not wish to go to the kitchen to cook for them. I want to lay down and rest.
I gave them three big pieces of rice cake for their merienda. Edmund told them to prepare their own food.
Hay again, we are so annoyed dealing with household employees’ quirks. Pampadagdag sa stress.
Edmund said “magcondo na lang tayo”. We will live na lang in a tiny condo so we don’t need cleaners. But where will Lucy, Stitch, Jack, Tyler, Twinkle stay?
