The luncheon meeting cum Christmas party of WomenBiz was held at Grace Park Restaurant in One Rockwell, Hidalgo Street, Makati City.
It was my first time here. I liked the homey / industrial / farmhouse / Manhattan loft feel of the two level restaurant. It didn’t feel like it was in a big building. It felt more like a single detached quaint little restaurant.
The restaurant has two levels. The bar section, kitchen, toilet, cashier and a few tables occupy the ground floor.
The mezzanine also has a few tables and a private area for about 16 people.
I didn’t know that this was another venture of Margarita Fores until she entered the room and ordered the waiter to bring in more food. She also sat at the table and joined us.
The restaurant was named after Grace Park, Caloocan where Gaita’s paternal grandmother Angie Geronimo Forés’ had a home.
When the pasta was brought in, she took them out, carried the food trays herself. She sent them back to the kitchen because she said they forgot to put some ingredient.
When the pasta was served back, it looked plain, no palamuti on top, just the noodles. I got a serving, and another serving, until I finished the whole plate. It was delicious.
Gaita was the one who personally chose what dishes to serve us.
The local sea bass / apahap was cooked with no elaborate sauces. We all liked its simple and clean taste.
P1,400+ Lamb. I was the only who didn’t touch this dish because I never liked lamb.
We had two kinds of dessert. I liked this one the most. You need your sweetheart to share this with.
After our meal, I asked Russel our Womenbiz secretary how much was our bill. She said it reached P15,000++.
