Greenbelt with Edmund - Oh My Buhay

We seldom wander away from our house when Edmund is with us kasi he prefers to just go somewhere close. But once in a while, he couldn’t say no especially when it’s her daughter’s idea.

We walked around the whole circumference of Greenbelt. From one building to another. We went to the watch stores first, of course. Puro tingin and free sukat. Then we went to the kitchen store on the third floor. I was the only one who went inside the showroom. We walked to the other building, past Adora, went down and crossed the next building to Hermes store. Tingin and tanong-tanong. We saw Ramon Ang getting off a van.

An acquaintance of mine showed me a photo of her inside this Hermes store. She was holding a blue crocodile leather Birkin bag. Someone ordered it daw and it would be picked up anytime. My acquaintance is a regular customer that’s why she was privileged to touch and take a photo of the bag. She told me it was $700,000 which I couldn’t believe. I know the most expensive Birkin is diamond clad at $1.9M but an ordinary crocodile shouldn’t cost more than three million pesos. I was right. I asked the sales lady how much was that bag and she said P2.6 yata if I am not mistaken.

I inquired if they have found my name in their list. I listed my name within a month that they opened, that’s several years ago. They lost my name. Then I listed again, and no one seems to remember or know that I even signed up.
Okay lang. It’s not important. Naki gaya lang naman ako sa mga nag pa list ng names nila.

You can buy a Birkin in Paris, you just have to be patient, persistent, determined and super lucky. You must have perfect timing. So tyamba-tyamba lang.
You must also have the luxury of time. Be ready to keep on going back to the store, baka mtyempuhan na merong stock. It could take years, months, weeks, or forever.

From the Hermes store, we walked to Louis Vuitton. My husband said “papasok ka pa ba dyan?” Eh namamasyal lang naman kami. Exercise din yung window-shopping.

I checked out their sunglasses rack. I broke kasi my sunglasses last October.
It couldn’t be fixed na daw. I didn’t buy, I’ll buy at the LV store in Union Square when I go to San Francisco in June. I have a $600 gift coupon.

Next was finding a restaurant to eat. We couldn’t agree on that one thing. We walked and walked till we settled in Chateau 1991. Always. This was a sure choice for us whenever we’re in Greenbelt.

Yen and I were just here two nights ago. She couldn’t decide what to order.

Edmund ordered soup

Instead of going for my usual choice of Gambasetti, I ordered chorizo spaghetti pasta.

yen had been craving for steak the past few days but since she’s on a diet, she was trying to curtail her taste buds. Not this time. She ordered a small slice. Liit lang naman.
