I would like to share with you an old email I sent to my sister and to some friends before Oh my buhay came into existence.
Our cook at that time was named Cristy and one night, she gave me a grocery list.

The LIST was long, eto pa yung iba:

risen (ano kaya ito?)
pamento boa (what?)
pork sparebs (iba siguro ito dun sa pork rebs)
The next morning I asked Cristy ,
“anong klaseng paminta ba yung boa?
“Ay Mam, yung bo-o, hinde dekdek”.
omgawd….so funny! Pang spelling bee ang dating ni Cristy! Nagets ko si “resin” which Im assuming is raisins. Pero si pork peque? hahahaa, ano yun? fake na pork? lol. haaay natawa naman ako.
