We are thinking of skipping dinner because we are tired, no place to kill time, and it is raining and cold. It crosses our minds to just hail a cab and go back to the hotel.
An hour and a half is a long wait until dinner time because we are hungry, tired, getting wet from the rain, and a bit cold.
After giving it a thought, we are staying instead, to join them for dinner and the bus ride back to the hotel. To have some shelter from the cold and rain, we found a cute coffee shop. Edmund had a cup of coffee and a donut. We couldn’t hang around inside the cafe for more than an hour, they only have two tiny tables, so we moved to a pizzeria and ordered one whole pizza. The primary motive was really to use their washroom.
Afraid to get full, I ate a slice and scraped the toppings of the second and third pizza slices.
We survived the long wait, and finally, here we are at White Horse restaurant located right in front of the Astronomical Clock in the Town Center.
It is in the cellar of a historical building.
This is James, our tour coordinator. Before the pandemic, James makes 15 trips to Europe in a year accompanying group tours from the Philippines. His favorite place is Interlaken in Switzerland where some scenes from the popular Korean movie Crash Landing on You were filmed.
Grace, Edmund, Manny, Jina, Marilou, Dominique, Nina, Liza, Dolly, Cheryl, and James, I am missing from the picture because I am the photographer.
The local travel agent was the one who suggested this restaurant prior to our departure. Jina and James chose from the European dishes menu.
It’s better that way, we don’t need to think, choose, or decide what to eat. Basta we seat, eat, and leave.
Happy to have stayed for dinner.
White Horse is reputedly one of the top restaurants in Prague and I see why. The service, location, ambiance, and food, are all great.
