We revisited Hai Chix & Steaks restaurant after we attended the anticipated mass on Saturday, July 12. We went to their branch at #6 Missouri Street, near the gate of Northeast Greenhills, San Juan.
They are on the second floor of a two story building with a bank on the ground floor. The limited parking was full so Edmund parked on the basement of Gloria Maris Restaurant across the street.
The stairs to the restaurant was a little discouraging. Dark, steep and looked shady. If you’re not sure of where you’re going, pwede kang matakot.
There’s a reward for braving the not so nice stairs. Once you’ve reached the top, whoala, a nice, roomy restaurant opens before you.
Daughter too. She ordered shrimps and chorizo pasta.
Edmund ordered one US Angus Rib Eye for sharing. We all got a tiny piece.
I forgot what my son ate. Hmmm. He’s trying to cut down on rice kasi he’s a little tabachuychoy na. I think he had curry laksa.
Edmund was the first to step out, he cautioned me to be careful “O, watch out”.
Tuk, arayyy, natisod ako.
E——“Kasasabi ko lang na mag-ingat”.
From Hai Chix & Steaks, we walked to the Promenade and had Red Mango yogurt.
As if all those food were not enough, Edmund and I ate the suman sa ibos we bought from a vendor at the church’s parking area.
By the way,
The family of Senator JV Ejercito, including his mom, San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez were at the other long table. Perfect timing kasi we’re inviting them to Ford EDSA’s inauguration. The mayor is so pretty. Parang artista ang mukha.
Buti na lang we chose to eat here, tyempo nadito si JV. Edmund was able to remind him of our event. We hope they’re able to join us.
