From Wawa, I accompanied the surveyors to my Kuya Ben’s house. He (+) and my sister Aileen inherited a piece of land in Paterno Street and the surveyor will have to make a lot plan splitting the lot into two right in the middle, front and center. Walang lamangan ika nga. Hating kapatid.
Ate Elsie served me a big cup of refreshing halo-halo, my second this day since I have also been served halo-halo while in Wawa.
I went to the pritil afterwards and bought tons of live fish endemic in Laguna de Bay. I didn’t see ayungin, which is the tastiest among the fresh water fish in the lake, perfect with patis and kalamansi.
Kanduli P35 a kilo, I am not exactly sure what kind of fish that big guy is, carpa or maya-maya?
Small tilapia ranges from P25 to P35 a kilo.
They are happy when they see me because I buy a lot. of course there are also some hidden talks “anak yan ni Ka Felicing, Ah si Annie ba yan?, Ninang ko sa kasal si Tiya Felicing…”. I am really elated when I hear people still talking about my parents. Meaning my parents haven’t been forgotten. But soon, these older generation would go and the younger ones wouldn’t know who we are and they wouldn’t care.
The live dalag are kept here. I bought two medium sized dalag for my son, he loves inihaw na dalag.
Although I like the itlog ng dalag, I am so scared to buy the big ones, they look like they’re going to eat me instead, parang mga ahas.
I bought a gallon of fresh water shrimps for P45. This is perfect for OKOY, with suka and bawang. Oh my..
Giant tilapia. Parang kawawa kasi di ba yan ang breeders? I don’t buy big ones, they don’t fit in our pans.
I always bought P20 worth of crushed ice to keep the fish fresh during the one hour travel back to Manila.
It was very very hot in Binangonan, parang I wanted to sprinkle myself with snow.
I envy men, they can expose themselves without people looking at their bodies with malice at pagnanais.
The kalbaryo pala can be seen from the pritil
Si Boyet Ynares na ngayon, bunsong kapatid ni Cesar at Ito.
Kinakapatid, I woke up at 2:30 am here in Honolulu (4/30/12) and read your posting. You made me laugh about men able to expose themselves without worrying of indecent exposure. I also went to Pritil as an excursion while visiting in December 2010. Nakakamiss. Also there’s so many unfamiliar faces sa Palengke and very few na lang ang killala ang Ka Pacing at Ka Aczon.
thanks Peng. Marami na akong hindi kilala dun. Nawawala na yung mga originals.

I can still vividly remember..when we were kids..well, just for fun and to make extra money, we also sold ‘halo-halo’..in front of our parlor..we made our own condiments..used Ka Alfredo’s block ice..and..did the old, conventional way of shaving ice..Wow! Those were the good, old days..It’s really great to reminisce..and..recollect on our childhood memories and adventures..
I won’t forget…and..I truly miss your family’s famous/special ‘buco salad’ popsicle/ice drop! Yummy! Delicious! ( Napaka-‘sarap’ talaga! )
