He slammed right at me

Yesterday morning at Ford EDSA, as soon as I reached the top of the stairs, I noticed that the guard was not at his post. I then saw a young guy in bright pink shirt holding several brown paper packs on his chest walking fast, not looking to where he was going. His head was turned to his right, looking at a sales consultant talking to two clients and I was right on his path, about one meter away.

I knew already he was going to slam right at me. He was walking fast. But it was too late for me to back off or else I would fall off the stairs. Ganun pala pag aksidente, ni hindi ako nakasigaw or nakailag.

The only thing I was able to do was to cross my hands and arms in front of my chest as protection. In seconds, WHAMMM! That was a head on collision. I felt pain on my left arm, right feet and a little pressure on my chest.

Nakunsumi talaga ako sa kanya. I told him “Ano ba hindi ka tumitingin sa nilalakaran mo”. He was in a hurry, he just said sorry po and tried to go down the stairs. I said “Teka, sino ka ba, nabangga mo ako, hindi ka tumitingin kasi”. Inis pa rin ako. By this time, he was half way down the stairs. I called him again. Teka nga, sino ka, saan ka pupunta, nabangga mo ako”. He said he’s from the canteen.

I took a deep breath and let him be. I asked the receptionist at the sales department office. “May canteen na ba dyan?” I didn’t know we have a canteen. I think she didn’t hear me well, she said “parking”.

Before I left, I asked Edmund’s assistant who that guy was? He said he’s from the nearby canteen and he delivers food to some of the employees. I instructed him na bawal na syang pumasok dito. Iwan na lang ang food orders sa guard house.

While we were negotiating in the traffic jam along EDSA going to Makati, I felt pain on my left shoulder. Tila napilayan yata ako. It probably absorbed the impact when I placed my arms on my chest as protection.
Nainis na naman ako. I told myself “hay naku, baka kailangan pa akong magpahilot”.
Dami ko na ngang aches and pains nadagdagan pa.
Eto ngayon, merong salonpas.
