I attended UNILAB Foundation’s launching of its online volunteer portal called #healthierPH on the second floor of Sentro 1771 in Capitol Commons Pasig last Wednesday evening. I was busy the entire day but I felt I should go because Unilab is a valuable client of Ford EDSA.
Their new project was put together by Unilab’s communications team composed of very young staff Annalee, Ira, and Roanne Duran.
They made the site interesting and whimsical. One gets to volunteer and earn fictional points, imaginary or real products (of Unilab).

The food attendant placed two small slices of this catfish on my plate.
Of all the food choices, the Lumpiang Hubad was my favorite.
I shared a table with this two young bloggers, Geoffrey who blogs for Nuffnang, and Cher, who said her blog is about fashion but now she’s shifting to lifestyle. Small world, she said she spent three months this year in the US with her sister in Hayward. It’s her first time daw to visit the US, her tita yata paid for her ticket. Natutuwa ako kasi ang liit ng mundo ano? I am now in Hayward and is going to Washington DC on tuesday. She visited DC courtesy of her Tita who lives there.
The #healthierPH project of Unilab Foundation is a worthy endeavor. They aim to reach more Filipinos and encourage them to donate their time, resources and talent in Unilab’s various volunteer projects.
United Laboratories (UNILAB) is the biggest pharmaceutical company in the Philippines. It was founded by Mr. J.Y. Campos and Mr. M.K. Tan in 1945 as a small corner drug store in Binondo, Manila. Since then, the company has grown to have a significant market share in the Philippines and in the Asia-Pacific region.
It is behind hundreds of highly successful products such as Enervon C, Ceelin, Diatabs, Biogesic, Medicol, Alaxan, Tiki-tiki, Neozep, Solmux, to name a few.
