Herend Dinner Plates and Tea set

(delayed post, April 28, 2015)

There was a few hours down time between the Gerloczy lunch till our wine pairing dinner. Instead of going to the West End Mall like what the rest of the group did, we (my kids, my sister, and I) went back to Sofitel to rest for a few minutes.

After half hour, we went to the plaza to  exchange some Euro to Hungarian Forint, then walked to the company owned Herend showroom nearby.

I had decided which ones to buy.  I could only buy a few because it would be hard to carry.  Baka mabasag lang.  Although the store ships all over the world,  the cost of insurance and shipping would double the cost.

Soup bowl could double as pasta, salad or even dessert plate.  My son paid for the Herend table napkins and he also gave me some of his Forints to pay for the plates.  I paid kasi in cash and nagkulang ng konti.

The dinner plates were so heavy. Grabe sa bigat. Isang pinggan parang isang kilo sa bigat.

This tea set could also be a coffee set. I could use the tray for other things too.

This young lady will soon go to college this fall to take up engineering to follow in the footsteps of her dad. She’s very pretty and very tall too. I forgot her name.

There was a 15% yata or 16% tax refund, kaya parang meron na ring discount.
The sales manager asked when I would be back to buy more pieces to complete my set. He he he, Ang mahal namang pinggan nyan, mag-eeroplano pa ako! With a combination of wishful thinking and determination, I answered next year! She looked surprised with my answer. She didn’t believe me.
