I did not go out of the room the whole day. I just took a day off so to speak. I did not want to ride the car and go to Session Road. I just want to have some slow and peaceful day, far from traffic. All I do in Manila is ride the car and sit in the traffic, so today, rest muna. I just updated my blog, rested and inhaled the air’s fresh pine scent from the balcony.
Edmund joined the golf tournament today at the Baguio Golf and Country Club. Their tea-off was at noon. He texted me around 5 pm to ask where we would have dinner. He was back in the hotel by 6 pm.
I reserved for a table at the Hill Station restaurant.
To be cited in the Miele Guide of Best Restaurants in Asia is something to brag about.
Hill Station is sub-leasing from Casa Vallejo. This century-old mansion is owned by the government, specifically the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), who’s leasing it to J. Bagatsing, who operates the boutique hotel Casa Vallejo.

I am such a big fan of old colonial homes. I like things and places resplete with history.
I was awed by the grand parlor’s ambience which now serves as the restaurant’s main dining hall.
Bigla ko tuloy naalala our former cook Cherry. She drank half of Edmund’s champagne collection. Puro red wine ang natira at yung mga mumurahin pa. Nawala yung mga vintage from France.
Edmund grabbed a newspaper, this place feels like home
Edmund did not like the bread dips “parang middle eastern” he says.
Me—— “tart, ito oh, olive oil”
Edmund– eh di lasang langis!
The waiter said the spices are from Egypt.
this tuna tataki disappeared fast from the plate. Its taste was enhanced by the fact that we both were so hungry. Edmund is not fond of the peppercorns though.
I had mushroom soup, Edmund had veggies soup.
My main course— Grilled prawns and tenderloin Peri-peri served with mashed potatoes.
Edmund did not like his order. He gave in to the suggestion of the waiter that this is their best-seller.
It’s Moroccan Baby Back Ribs. It has spices that Edmund said “parang Egyptian or Middle-eastern”.
It’s good except that Edmund doesn’t like too much spices.
Edmund has been drinking a lot of coffee since yesterday
