After I had tasted the oysters at Hog Island Oysters several years ago it became my gold standard. All other oysters came second or third or fourth.
There’s a Hog Island Oyster bar in Oxbow, Napa Valley just a 2-minute walk from the Napa Wine Train station. A dozen oysters with the most delicious vinaigrette dip cannot be missed.
Hog Island makes it to my top 10 favorite restaurants in the world.
