I paid HK$62 to the cab driver from Park Lane Hotel to Aberdeen. The driver waited for me for 5 minutes, then I asked him to drop me off in Sheung Wan, in Hollywood Road. I paid HK$72 I think from Aberdeen to Sheung Wan.
It was a a pleasant day to walk along this street full of antique shops. There’s a side street of smaller vendors selling less expensive and small items for souvenir. The bigger and permanent shops are for people who are serious antique collectors and those with serious amounts of money.
I fell in love with this white and blue vase around 10″ tall. It’s HK$40,000! As soon as I heard the price, my love flew out of the window. Na-fell out of love agad ako.
After hearing 40,000 for a small vase, I didn’t dare ask for the big horse’s price.
These 3 guys cost thousands too.
There are antique shops selling old music records, Bruce Lee movie posters and Mao Tse Tung books.
Hindi ko matyempuhan ito na bukas. I want to ask the owner something. I bought some antique stuff from him 10 years ago and one needs some repair.
many tourists are buying lucky charms from the monks. Let us just believe that it’s going to be a wonderful year

I left Hollywood Road and started walking down the hill to Des Veoux Road. This old woman waters the potted flowers.
