My son is easy to please. It’s nice to bring him along. He has zero expectations. Okay lang sa kanya kahit we eat in tabi-tabi.
I brought him to the street market near Time Square in HK, just two blocks away from Sogo Department Store and Excelsior Hotel.
I showed him the place where I frequented before, where I ate noodles every day I am in HK. Masarap kasi soup nila.
This spot used to be the noodle house owned and managed by a couple who had a Filipina nanny. When ever I was in HK, I would eat fish ball and fish cake noodle soup from their restaurant. Nung nakilala na nila ako, they gave me a second serving free of charge, hindi ko naman magkang-uubos. They told me that they were going to migrate to Australia because they didn’t trust the Chinese government. They moved in 1997, the year the British officially transferred the sovereignty over Hongkong to the People’s Republic of China.
Nalungkot nga ako nung nawala na yung suki ko.
There’s a noodle house beside it pero mas masarap pa rin dun sa suki ko.
