We touched down at 9 am and took some time to clear through the immigration because there were hundreds of Japanese tourists without US visas. I didn’t know that they could travel here without visas. What a privilege.
The consul’s eye brows were crisscrossing and his forehead was kulubot na from bad mood when he stood up from his cubicle and asked “any one here with visa?” I raised my hand.
He had two questions for us “What’s the purpose of your visit?”
A———“Vacation”.
Officer—–“How long are you staying?”
After stamping our passports, we went to claim our luggage. We found them already lined up on the floor, removed from the conveyor.
The shuttle took us to the airport’s main building.
There was a shuttle to the hotels. I paid $88 for airport-hotel-airport transfers for the 3 of us.
Hi Ms. A, enjoy your vacation. I remember this airport as my port of entry and of course the japanese vacationers that go by the buses. Immigration personnel were nice to me because they were filipino too. There are a lot of Filipinos working there, especially in restaurants and they were so noisy and I bet they still are. Seattle Tacoma was supposed to be my port of entry but Delta got delayed for four hours in Manila. Kaya the Japanese desk clerks in narita got crazy and I got rerouted to Honolulu. I had a 12-hour layover and had a lot of chance hanging out in the lower floor where the garden is and the all those lounge. Malaming that time in July.
Hi Joey,
This place is a Japanese haven.
