Our hotel room in Batanes

Oyen got us the Family Garden Suite or simply called, Room number 2 in Fundacion Pacita hotel in Basco, Batanes.
It’s called garden suite but I didn’t really feel that we’re in a garden. The dense topiaries are too much for me. I wish this area is just plain blue grass.

The view from the window would be stunning with less topiaries.

They crowd the walkways.

Access to our room is through the front porch of the private home of Cong. Abad.

When you enter the room, there’s a queen  bed on the right,  two windows overlooking the topiaries and a little bit of the Pacific Ocean.
This is Oyen and Nyke’s bed.

There’s another door leading to another room with another queen bed, perfect for Edmund and I.

It has two windows, one facing the topiaries and a stone arch, the other one, just trees. And the sampayan of the Abad’s.

The thick walls with big boulders, I am guessing, used to be the exterior wall of their house. They extended the patio to create this extra room and banyo.

We instantly fell in love with room number 2. The place is beautifully decorated with lots of original paintings. We knew we would be comfortable here. This place is a bit pricey but it’s worth it. At almost P13,000 a night (peak season), hindi sya presyong prubinsya.

Both rooms have air con plus ceiling fans.

The bed’s so comfortable. It’s hard to get-up.
We rested for a while before going out for lunch and half-day guided tour.  We all had very little sleep kaya we took an hour nap.    Ang sarap, fresh air.  No need for aircon.
