We’re attending the Binangonan Association of Northern California’s fund raising event in San Jose. Since it’s about an hour away, we checked in at the Hotel Valencia in Santana Row for a night. Edmund is also playing golf with his college best friend, Joey Maniquiz the following morning also in San Jose that’s why spending the night here was a good decision.
Edmund booked the room on line thru booking.com, two weeks before he left Manila.
The party was at 6 pm but by 5:15 pm, we’re still at the traffic exiting Stevens Creek Blvd. We didn’t know that we could overtake these vehicles because there were three lanes. We’re law abiding foreigners.
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It’s right along the tourist shopping with trendy boutiques and gourmet restaurants.
Edmund dropped me off at the hotel entrance. There’s a valet guy but Edmund preferred to park himself. Their front desk is on the 3rd floor.
Hotel Valencia is a boutique hotel. I wasn’t expecting it would be stylish and chic.
There was a party that night kaya it was a little noisy.
The decor has touches of old world Spain, although the overall theme is contemporary chic.
The view from our room.
Our room is very spacious. We both commented “kasya tayong apat dito”.
For $250 a night, this hotel is worth it.
The bed was comfortable however, I had trouble with the large pillows. They are soft but too high and bulky for me. I should travel with my own pillow. Ayaw ko ng mataba at matigas, gusto ko soft and low.
