Just like in all their previous incentive trips, the NY all-expenses-paid holiday courtesy of Federal Phoenix is super compressed within five days. It’s from April 23-28 inclusive of traveling time. Most are extending their holiday to visit relatives scattered around the continental USA.
My daughter misses her friends and classmates from college and how we both wished that we could stay for a couple more days but since she wants to vote, we’re only extending for one extra night.
Today is Day 2 of our free holiday. We felt funny doing touristic stuff while in Manhattan. Medyo kasi we’ve walked all this streets in the past.
But it’s relaxing to just follow the guide. Next activity after the Freedom Tower and Bowling Green Park is lunch on a boat.
We boarded at Chelsea Piers on the west side of Manhattan for our two hour luncheon cruise.
Meals on board ships are not to be expected to be great.
From my past experiences, food is decent but not great. Cruise is for cruising and marveling at the recognizable landmarks. You pay for the experience.
Susan Dimacali and Nadine Chua
Our tour mates, Paola Marie Dela Pedra, Rosalina Adriano and Salve Cataluna.
This card board picture frame hops from one table to another like a moving photo booth.
In comparison to my yagit get-up, some tourists are dressed fashionably.
As expected, decent food, nothing great.
So-so salad
Right after lunch, most of the passengers go up the deck.
Some stay for a little dancing
I am not feeling excited and is still wallowing from my worries, I am staying put with empty tables and plates.
The view from the cruise ship is what tourists come here for.
My daughter’s former workplace:
The shorter building belongs to Goldman Sachs where she worked for almost a year after graduation. It is very far from the apartment she rents in Elmhurst that’s why she leaves for work before sunrise.
I’ve been to Oyen’s former office once. Very modern and corporate.
The famous Brooklyn Bridge
I see throngs of tourists forming a long line to climb the Statue of Liberty.
The statue is a symbol of hope and new beginning for emigrants to America.

The proper word is immigrants as in immigrants to America. If you really want to use emigrants then you should mention the country where they are from like emigrants from the Philippines.
I first typed immigrants but later decided on using emigrants for the first time in my life. Thank you for educating me.
