Indio Filipino Cuisine - Oh My Buhay

Indio Filipino Cuisine

After the Easter Sunday Mass, we went to Barrio Kapitolyo where there are a lot of new restaurants, the type that’s home grown or quaint.

My daughter recommended that we eat at Indio Bistro, a fairly new Filipino food restaurant on the ground floor of a new building called D Strip.

The place is really cute.

My husband found the sinigang too sour. We finished the soup nonetheless, we even asked for a refill.

The fried black squid didn’t look appetizing but it was good. We finished this bowl.

A nice twist to tortang talong, Indio added lettuce salad, melted cheese and longganisa.

Sampaloc fried chicken was delicious

Chef Cris was the one who took the orders, cooked them, served them.
He said his staff was absent.

Mid-way, Edmund ordered laing with bagnet. I didn’t share. The chicken, talong and squid were good enough to fill my tummy.

Considering that we all had upset stomachs, we still managed to finish all our food.

  1. Hi Ms. Annie. I looked at your receipt and it looked weird. Added it using a calculator 3x. Total was 1396.

    1. Hi,

After I’ve read your message, my daughter checked my post and she noticed that the laing with bagnet was not included in the list of items, but included in the total bill.

  2. x x x Edmund ordered laing with bagnet. x x x

Bagnet and laing. But look at the receipt: Garlic rice, plain rice, salmon sashimi, crispy adobo squid, bao bu (whatever this is which cost P60), sampalok chicken and eggplant longga. Nowhere is the bagnet and laing.

    Really, false humility is pride.
