Insadong Antique Alley

December 27, 2014

I am fascinated with antiques that’s why when I saw the words antique market in the list of places included in our tour I got a little excited.

Our tour guide Wendy brought us to the Insadong Antique Alley after lunch. It was crowded with both tourists and locals. We were given about 55 minutes here so there’s not much one could do with that limited time. Pagpunta pa lang sa banyo, ten minutes na agad. Ang ginaw kasi kaya laging may I go out before, during and after.

Koreans are fond of drinking coffee. The number of coffee shops exceed the number of full service restaurants. The names are also fun and quirky.

This Disney characters made of wood, metal or tin are highly collectible in the US. If in very good shape, hardly used and in original boxes, they could fetch thousands of dollars.

Many tourists gathered in front of this guy. I wasn’t sure if they were craving for corn or amused at the sight of a white guy passionately selling food in South Korea.
