I thought I would be the very first in line at the Eastwood Cinema ticket counter because I arrived at the mall’s entrance at 9:58 am. As soon as I got -off the van, the mall’s security guard opened the glass doors.
No people yet.
Eh bakit pag dating ko sa taas, ang haba na ng pila? I was 45th in line. Sa’n sila galing? Where did those people enter? Ang labo.
I was able to get 3 tickets to the plush Ultra 7 P450 per seat x 3 = P1,350. Ang mahal.
Edmund and I were there at the cinema lobby by 7:05 pm.
Oyen got caught in a heavy traffic from Makati. I was worried she could be late for the 7:15 pm screening.
I asked the girl at the cinema’s entrance. She’s also the one taking orders for popcorn and drinks.
Me———— “Miss, anong oras mag-i-start?”
Girl———- “Seventy Five”.
Me———— “Seven… Fifteen”.
Girl———- “Oo Seven Five”.
Me———— “eh simula na agad ba yun?”
Girl———- “Hindi pa, pwede na kayong pumasok mga before”.
Me———— “Mga ilang minutes ang commercial?”
Girl——— “Ten to five”.
Our tickets include unlimited popcorn and drinks.
Aside from popcorn, Oyen and Edmund bought Mcdo.
I didn’t eat the bun. Just the chicken and the coleslaw.
Manonood ba tayo ng sine o magpi-piknik?
I was the one who bought the tickets but when we got inside the cinema, nagulat ako bakit Iron Man ang palabas.
Me———- “Tart, ay bakit Iron Man? Kala ko Superman?
Edmund—— “Iron Man!”
For some weird reason, kala ko talaga we’re watching Superman. Ini-imagine ko na pana man na lumilipad si Superman. I was disappointed for a few minutes, but sige na nga. Iron Man na kung Iron Man.
Absent minded or simply engot? Hard to say.
I like Iron Man 1 and 2 better.
We saw Zaldy, Edmund’s friend and our partner in Ford Cainta, with his 3 daughters. They’re taking the 10 pm screening of Iron Man.
Italianni’s for a late night eating.
This place is always full of people. On weekends and meal time, it could be a one hour or more wait.
We’re too tired and sleepy but we had to eat muna, kasi we haven’t had dinner. Puro popcorn lang and Mcdo.
Oyen ordered crab cakes on a bed of cream. We split this. It’s good pero after the second piece, medyo nakaka-umay na.
Prosciutto with fresh arugula. They ran out of arugula, eto na lang daw ang natira.
If it could be helped or avoided, do not park in Eastwood Mall’s basement parking? Bakit?
Super hot, no exhaust, you inhale all the harmful fumes. For asthma sufferers, stay away from this basement.
Even if it would only take a few minutes walk from the car to the mall, and back, it’s still a torture. Eastwood Mall’s owners and architects should have designed this with fresh air circulation.
