Jacuzzi Family Vineyards

Another beautiful place we are considering for the wedding ceremony is the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. The name is synonymous to bathtubs because the owners’ surname is Jacuzzi, who originally manufactured water well pumps, bathtubs, and spas located in Berkely, Ca.

Fred Cline who also owns the Cline Cellars and Vineyards across the street built the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in 2007 as a tribute to his grandfather Valeriano Jacuzzi. The stone building that looks like a medieval monastery honors the Jacuzzi family home in Uldine, Italy. The owners commissioned Architect Sean Garrett who finished his Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and also studied art and architecture in Rome in 1987/88.

As we enter the foyer, to the right is the wine tasting room and the olive oil tasting cum gifts store is on the left side.

Past the tasting rooms is the hallway leading to the court yard and garden.

The garden at the back of the building is a good space for an outdoor wedding ceremony. It does have a flat view of the vineyard. What worries us again is the chance of rain or according to their events manager, the grass could be wet.

The minute we walked into the tasting area, a big tall guy Peter approached us. He was very friendly and to our shock, he spoke in straight Tagalog. When I interviewed him, he said he was married to a Filipina and they have a daughter. When I asked why he used past tense, he said they divorced due to a change of lifestyle. Before we left, he poured us some wine and Oyen ended up buying two bottles because they were delicious according to her. And mainly because Peter was so nice to us. He was a very effective salesman. Peter now has a Filipino male partner. Only then that it became clear to me what he meant by a change of lifestyle.
