(August 21 Iloilo)
Today’s our last day here. We had a good breakfast consisting of the same food that we ate yesterday morning.

Edmund’s nephew is sending his driver to bring us to the airport. Our flight is at 2 pm so we still have a little bit more time to go to J.M. Baza Street, which used to be “the” shopping district during Edmund’s time. We were supposed to just go on foot but we fancied a jeepney ride.

My kids were kilig and it felt liberating to be able to ride in public transportation not worrying about holduppers and snatchers.

I left my bag in the hotel because Edmund wanted us to blend-in. How could we? Obvious pa rin na turista ire.

I think we paid P10 per person, that’s so expensive considering that we only rode for 5 minutes.

We were so blessed with a good weather. It poured while we were having breakfast but as soon as we went out of the hotel, the streets were dry and the wind was pleasant.

My parents had several passenger jeepneys when I was in elementary school. I was used to riding in Jeepneys.
But for my children, this is pure novelty. See how excited Julienne is.

We got off after a few short blocks because Edmund wanted to walk instead.
