A friend of mine always tells me that I am a jetsetter and I always contradict him, hinde, hindi ako jetsetter. He would retort back “hinde, jetsetter ka.” The definition of a jet setter is a person who travels frequently. And it is used to describe someone in high society with a glamorous life.
Yes, I do travel a lot most especially lately but I neither have a glamorous life nor I am in high society.
I am suffering from a very bad jet-lag from my recent trip. I am awake the whole night and I only get to sleep every other day. My husband is also losing sleep because I watch tv while he sleeps and the lights are partially on. He is sensitive to light and wants darkness to rule our room when he sleeps.
I am traveling again this weekend, when I come back, I will unpack and pack again after a week. I think this is what they call living in a suitcase.
I will let go of a hand-carry bag because I cannot lift it to put in the overhead bin. From now on I will travel light, the lightest possible.
