It’s going to take my driver about 10 more minutes to come pick us up because instead of parking at the Shangrila Hotel in Makati where I had my lunch with my sister in law, he parked at the Manila Peninsula. Why? I don’t know why.
In the meantime, we killed time by looking at the window display of Jewelmer located on the second floor of the hotel, before the entrance to Shang Palace.
This diamond and pearl necklace is really agaw pansin.
A—-“Dimps, bagay sa’yo yan, wear it with a very plain and simple dress or gown”.
D—-“An, ang ganda”.
Jewelmer only makes top class pieces. I was estimating that it would probably be one million five hundred pesos to 1.8M. I was wrong. My guess was too low. The tag price was US$ 100,000 ++. Yes, in dollars. Pesos? Five million bucks!!! Kung ako magsusuot nyan no one would ever think that it’s a five million necklace.
I went back to Shang Palace last week for lunch with Patty and Mela. I didn’t see it on the window. I thought someone had bought it already.
But last Friday, I had a meeting with Ave at Inagiku in Shang, I saw it again. O hayan, this stunning necklace with big South Sea Pearls encrusted with flawless diamonds is still available.
I have a pair of South Sea Pearls dangling earrings from Jewelmer. It’s very simple. It has two or four tiny diamond stones. Naku panahon pa ni Mahoma, siguro 23 years old na. I had a tv show called Export Connection. We featured Jewelmer and during my visit to their showroom in Makati, I spotted those earrings. If I still remember it right, it was $1,200+ and of course it was a big amount during that time. I think what we did was we offset the price with what they were supposed to spend for the tv feature. Plus I added a few more dollars.
That reminds me, where is it na kaya? I will look for it tomorrow.
It’s similar to these but color white.
