I am faced with a dilemma whether to take doctor-prescribed medication for my osteoporosis considering the many serious side effects such as risk of fatal stroke. The very reason why I need to take medicines is to prevent further bone loss but some of the medicines reported this particular side-effect, bone loss. Ridiculous right?

I haven’t started taking any medicine except for vitamins, Caltrate plus vitamin D.
I try to augment this by eating some calcium-rich foods.

My doctor kuya advised me to do strenuous exercises, umakyat daw ako sa bundok. I don’t even do light physical activity what more some serious work-outs? I am trying to ambulate more actively but so far my physical movements are far from being considered exercise.

He also recommended that I take 1,000 units of Vitamin D.
I went to the grocery and when I saw the vegetable KALE, I remembered it’s on my list of top 10 source of Vitamin D. I bought a pack for P114.

Kale leaves are firm and matigas.
There are also available kale juices out there.
