It was Oyen who found this tour so I didn’t know the details. All I knew was that we would go to a floating market not only one but three. I also didn’t know beforehand that this particular exploration was actually a food tour. A food tour is a great idea for someone (me) dreaming of going on a diet someday.
After our not-so-great foot massage at Bangnoi Floating Market, we crossed to the other side of the river by boat. It was a very short ride, less than ten minutes.
The short walk from the dock to a row of small shops included a glare and heat challenge. It was hot.
Carnation milk has invaded Thai.
Olive brought us to this restaurant complete with karaoke.
At first I thought their in-house karaoke singer was singing in Thai. It was only after a few minutes that I realized he was belting out an English song complete with vibrato. .
Our tourmates from Vienna. Rosanna and Joshua. This young couple met in London 10 years ago and have been inseparable since. They travel for three weeks in a year exploring the most exotic destinations.
Olive ordered 4 bowls of tom yang noodle soup. Although we tasted one dumpling and a twirl of rice noodles with curry sauce at Tha Kha Floating Market, I still had space for the tom yang soup. I only ate the soup and not the noodles.
