We were able to reach the Catedral de Santa Maria la Real de la Almudena even if Edmund and I were a little bit late for the Sunday Mass. The Cathedral is steps away from the Royal Palace.
I was looking for my sister because she and Bong were also attending mass.
The construction of the cathedral begun in 1879 but was stopped during the Spanish Civil War and the project didn’t resume till after 1950. It was completed only in 1993 and consecrated by Pope John Paul II.
As usual I lighted candles.
And as usual my son got more candles, two for him and one each for Edmund, Oyen, and I.

If only we took our Spanish classes in college seriously then we would not wonder what this meant.
