There’s an elegant department store near our hotel called Steffl. The glass and crystal ceiling was the one that attracted us to go in. Their merchandise are mostly high-end.
The cosmetics and perfumeries are on the street level.
We got stuck at the La Mer counter. We knew this was expensive so we took advantage of the free tester, putting it on our faces and hands. The sales lady came up to us and asked if we needed help. We’re not buying naman talaga. We’re not prepared to spend 300 Euro for a small bottle of cream.
We left for one minute then went back again to get a small kulawit of the La Mer cream. She sent a gay guy to approach us. We told the guy we just wanted to try on the samples. He was nice naman. He just let us.
La Mer sales Ladies in Rustan’s tell women to just get a tiny drop of the cream, tapos i-spread sa hand , tapos ipahid sa mukha. Kaya daw isang maliit na bote eh tatagal ng ilang bwan. Oh syempre kung gatuldok lang ang gamit eh tipid nga yun. Obvious that they were trying to make buyers feel better to justify the high cost. Kung yung kinse mil nga naman ay tatagal ng anim na buwan, parang mura lalabas.
NO! How can a teeny weeny drop of cream prevent wrinkles? At ipapahid mo muna sa palad mo bago ipahid sa mukha? Aba eh yung cream napunta na yun sa balat ng hands mo. Lalo na.
When Oyen gave me a tiny sample, she said it could be good for a month. I finished it in 3 days. Tinipid ko pa yun ha.
I went back to Steffl the next day looking for perfume. I wanted to get something new parang nasawa na ako sa scent ko.
Why would Thierry Mugler call his perfume Alien? And why would I want to wear a perfume called Alien?
Hi ang bango mo, ano perfume mo?
Alien.
