His wife works at the city hall while he runs his own landscaping business. He started hearing stories about his wife having an affair with one of her office mates. One day, his aunt told him to ask his wife resign from her job because she’s having a relationship with another man.
He told himself he should see it with his own two eyes. The next day, instead of using his own car, he borrowed a friend’s car and used it to follow his wife. After office hours, he saw his wife and the guy leave the city hall. He followed their car till they entered a motel. He moved his car closer to the passenger side of the car. His wife got off and he made sutsut his wife “Psssst, passst”. His wife didn’t look, probably not noticing him because he was riding on a different car. He rolled down the window, fully opened and called his wife again “passst, hoyyy!” His wife was stunned upon seeing him. “O, anong ginagawa nyo dya-an?” His wife answered “may titingnan lang kami”. “Anong titingnan nyo eh hotel ya-an. Bahala ka”. With that, he left and returned home. In a few minutes, his wife came home. He didn’t say anything, he just asked her to go with him. He drove and brought her to her parents’ home.
“Eto na ho ang anak nyo, isinosoli ko na”.
Their two children are now college graduates, one an engineer and the other one a marketing graduate.
They never reconciled. He said it took him 10 years to move on. He now has a live in partner whom he has a 7 year old son.
He told me his wife probably got attracted to the guy since they both worked in the office, they became good friends and he probably always smelled and looked good, “laging naka sputing”. Since he’s a landscaper, lagi syang maputik at amoy araw.
Moral lesson? Laging maligo, huwag mabaho.
