Our schedule was fluid. The heat deterred us from doing touristic stuff like sightseeing. And we were tired of sightseeing na. Ayaw na namin.
After breakfast I decided to inquire at the hotel lobby how to go to the Las Rozas Shopping Village. The front desk recommended taking a shuttle bus and paying Eiro 18 per person round trip. I didn’t quite like that because first we would be walking three or four blocks under debilitating heat. Then riding the bus with a gazillion other tourists? I didn’t like my experience riding on the bus to the premium outlet in Barcelona, na claustrophobic ako and I didn’t want that to happen again most especially during summer time?
I tried, tried lang, to eat less.
We took a cab to Las Rozas Village, the premium shopping outlet in Madrid. I thought it would be far but it was no more than 30 minutes taxi ride.
I was reading the street signs and building signage and the taxi driver thought I knew how to speak Spanish. He started speaking to me in porque-porque si. My husband stopped me from responding. “Oh hayan ka na naman”. Eh feeling espanyol ako.
The Las Rozas Village is as pretty as its sister outlet in London, The Biscester Village. I wish I can hire their designers and stylist to transform my abode into something as lovely as Bicester and Las Rozas.
So far I am keeping my promise of not buying Prada and Ferragamo step-ins kasi masakit sa paa. I don’t know for how long.
These two Filipina tourists were dining al fresco when two birds flew and rested on the chair’s back rest.
Five years from now I am going to have an aviary big enough for little birds to fly around. I would put lots of trees and plants inside. It’s going to be an oasis. Siguro mga 100 sqm meters big or depending on my budget. If expensive 10 sqm na lang. Pero parang kawawa rin yung birds. They are not meant to be caged. Maybe I’ll rotate them. I would let them loose after a month. Nay, too expensive naman if I would buy birds every month.
The mists and trees made our walk more pleasant and the heat more bearable.
I liked that orange dress although the size was big on me.
Ted Baker’s fitting room was elegant and aircon was cold. I wanted to take a nap.
I knew where to find Mr. Yee, inside Hackett.
It would cost thousands of Euros to be able to wrap our house with flowerettes like this. Ganda!
Edmund is now into Hackett. Nasawa na sa JL and Hugo Boss.
I love the color combinations.
The finale of my window shopping was at the housewares store,
The plates were so heavy. I had no intention to buy kasi sobrang bigat.
Burberry has nice and quality merchandise but I am not a Burberry girl. My sister is. My first time to discover this brand was in London, some 26 years ago. I was walking around Covent Garden when I saw their scarf and winter coat at the display window. I thought they were elegant. When I walked into the store to try the coat, the price stunned me, so that was the end of my desire to buy Burberry coat., until now.
The more I get fatter, the more difficult it is to find a dress that looks good on me and me in it. Pang daster na lang ako.
A few years ago, my daughter bought a really high step-in. I tried them on and my husband saw me holding on to my dear life on our stairs railing while I walked. He scolded me “Tart! ano ba yan!”
The heat was really something. It was squeezing my brains out.
Everything my husband bought were golf shirts, shorts, belt. Basta pang golf nya.
I am bad influence to my sister when it comes to shopping.
We rested for while in one of their Lobby Cafe. Actually we just wanted to have aircon. Syempre we had to eat otherwise we had no reason to hang around there.
After resting we went to Samsonite.
They were looking for one travel bag, and ended up buying two.
My sister went wild buying three Gucci bags. I had a 10% coupon plus the tax refund, the bags came out really cheap compared to buying in the US. When she compared the price and how much she was saving, from one bag, it became two, then she grabbed another one, kaya naging tatlo.
I asked some guys “Donde esta la parada de taxi?” Hahaha my companions were impressed, eh pinagdugtung dugtung ko lang, basta merong parada and taxi, gets na yun.
Agn bait ko, I only bought two items. No bag. No shoes.
