There was another tour on our last day in Budapest. It’s an hour or so drive to the countryside. We opted not to join anymore because we wanted to do some exploring around the hotel and do some shopping. They said it’s a nice place too but I didn’t want to drive far. What if I didn’t like the place? Then I would be stuck there the whole day.
The tour operator refunded Euro 60 representing the cost of our lunch since we’re not joining the day’s lunch at Strudel House.
After breakfast, my sister and I went to the nearby commercial area. Leisurely walking lang and no pressure shopping.
Tourists pet him not wary of the danger of getting beaten.
We went inside a store named Orsay. Nice dress, but first I wanted to check out where it was made. Ayaw ko from invaders.
It didn’t take me two minutes to decide that I wanted this handbag. I just asked the cashier where it was made. Walang nakalagay. How much did I pay for this.. teka nalimutan ko na. Ang alam ko super cheap. Tila somewhere between Euro 20 to 25. A thousand pesos!! Buy na agad.
Ayleen’s newest favorite store, Desigual. She bought a wind breaker.
I looked at the etiketa, Made in China.
Len was happy with her Desigual coat, and I was happy with my cheap find, the white bag. So time to relax na.
Oyen has started a collection of tiny Swarovski animals.
A block away from the hotel, we sat down at a sidewalk cafe to have refreshments.
In a few minutes, we saw my kids walking back to the hotel. They had lunch at a Michelin star restaurant. We all walked back together to Sofitel. Rested for a while then headed to the Opera area where a few luxury brands where.
I would rather take a cab than the Metro kasi the buying of tickets, figuring out where the station would be were daunting to me.
We got off at the last station which was at the Opera. There’s Herend store there too.
They had more plates on display compared with the other store near our hotel.
I didn’t want to buy na, it’s difficult to carry home.
This porcelain vase with tulips cost a fortune.
We went back to the Louis Vuitton boutique and bought a few small items. We also got the passport of Beth Villamil she left behind the day before when she and her husband bought a belt, etc.
We walked back to the hotel. malayo pero we enjoyed naman the sights, and we kept on stopping kaya before we knew it, we were there already.
There’s the ferris wheel. that means we’re getting closer to Sofitel.
At 4 pm, it was still very bright and sunny. Nakakasilaw. We wanted to ride sana.
Once we reached the Bistro at the Square, I separated from them. They were going to exchange some money or buy something, I decided to go back to the hotel so I could start packing.
