(Aug 21 Iloilo)
From Roberto’s snack house, we walked to the corner and crossed to the other side of the street where the YMCA building is located. This is another memorable place for Edmund because he used to come here when he was in high school.
We rode the jeepney back to the hotel. My daughter said she could live here, simply and incognito.
The ride was very short, like 5 minutes only.
Edmund bought his favorite Mangosteen and some Lanzones, para we have baon in the plane.
Edward’s son Owie was at the hotel’s coffee shop waiting for us when we got back. He was with his wife and daughter.
Edward’s driver brought us to the airport.
It was raining again when we were on our way to the airport.
We were surprised to see so many pasalubong stores at the airport.
Coffee Break is Iloilo’s answer to Starbucks. It’s owned by the same family who owns Iloilo Supermarket
We bought some more biscocho and galletas. Edmund and I ate La Paz Batchoy again.
Cold air was blowing from this vent so we stood here for a while while waiting for boarding
The new Iloilo airport is surrounded by vast tracts of land. I hope it remains that way.
Look at all the chichiryas we brought home
It’s been two weeks since we arrived and my children and I still have the Iloilo fever.
