I was able to arrange for one hour of extended check-out time. Instead of 12 noon, we were allowed to stay in the room up to 1 pm. I was hoping I could get a late check-out up to 2 or 3 pm eh they were fully booked daw. That’s what hotels say when they don’t want guests to stay beyond 12 noon.
My luggage was bursting at the seams because of additional items— plates and teacups. I also bought an additional winter jacket and an orange colored sweater before going to Estonia. They ate up a lot of luggage space.
Our flight to Manila was at 10 pm and we had nothing else to do. No more shopping because of the lack of luggage space. We walked towards Piccadilly Circus again taking the parallel street hoping to discover some interesting stores or cafes.
Wary of Friday traffic, we walked back to the hotel, took our luggage from the concierge, called Uber and headed to Heathrow International Airport. There was no line at the tax refund area.
We were very early. Waited for two hours before the PAL check-in counters opened. They have a new thing. The staff lined-up in front of us and did their greeting at the same time before each one of them proceeded to their designated spots. There were fewer passengers than on April 14 when I traveled from London to Manila. Nuon nagkakagulo ang mga pasahero. There were balikbayans sa tingin ko matagal ng hindi mga umuuwi kasi kung anu-ano ang dala. Pati yung pagbalot nila ng mga kahon, parang mga galing sa probinsya na sasakay ng bangka. “STIDER! STIDER!” Shouted one woman to his son. She was frantic because she was being charged an additional of GBP 540+ for her overweight bags. She was telling her son to stay-put. A couple was being charged almost a thousand US dollars for excess baggage. The mother said “uuwi na lang ako bukas, ako na lang ang magdadala nyan”. Naisip nila sa $1,000 pwede na syang bumili ng round trip ticket on the economy section and bring the two extra boxes. To those of you traveling, make sure that you know the baggage weight allowance or limit so you don’t incur an additional expense on excess baggage. I’ve seen some people unload chips, shampoo, catsup, de lata. Huwag ng magdala ng mga ganyan. Marami na nyan kahit saang bansa.

I couldn’t find the Philippines under letter P. Louis Vuitton’s country list placed it under letter F after FIJI. FILIPPINES? It was spelled correctly but they placed it under F. I told the guy to have it corrected.
I bought truffles. The one in the can, oh my, it was so good.
Edmund wanted to stay in the Mabuhay Lounge, ako ayaw ko. Kasi ang sikip duon. I’d rather stay in the duty free shop area. As soon as we entered, someone asked us if we wanted to be served lugaw. Syempre the answer was oo.

A—-“Ha? Sinong Richard? Richard Gomez?”
E—-“Ri-charge!”
A—-“Ahhhhh re-charge as in charger? Sabi mo kasi Richard”.
Gate 42 is at the farthest end of the terminal. Kabisado ko na yan kaya kailangan mga 20 minutes before boarding, lumakad ka na kasi malayo.
E—-“Kumuha ka na naman nyan, kakalat lang yan”. Prince Harry is the son-in-law I will never have.
